Happy Halloween!

It has been way too long since I posted pics of this little guy. Here are some pictures from our first visit to the pumpkin patch. Exciting things that have happened since Jacob turned 8 months old:

1. He now has SIX teeth (four on top, two on bottom)
2. He is pulling himself up and walking around the furniture and crawling everywhere.
3. He is waving bye-bye
4. He loves clapping!
5. We started swim lessons last Friday evening - Daddy took him in the water for his first lesson (more video to follow)
6. He can locate the light if you say "light"
7. We moved into our new home on Thursday and he is enjoying all of his new space!
8. He started eating almost all finger foods - carrots, peas, bananas, and sweet potatoes or a few of his favorites!
9. He finally upgraded to a new, bigger and better carseat.
10. He laughs ALL the time - but that really hasn't changed :)

Baby on the Move!!

Just last night, Jacob crawled for the first time!! He has been scooting around for a few weeks but last night he finally figured out to put it all together. Pretty impressive for this little seven month old...

Go Tigers!

A few cute family pics while watching the Mizzou game at Lindsay and Jonny's.

Bad Mommy!

Well... a not so happy moment to put in the baby book... Jacob's first ride in the ambulance and first trip to the E.R. Hopefully we will not have anymore of these stories to share. A big tumble off the bed sent me in a state of panic. Jacob recovered quite nicely, although he has a big goose egg and a black eye. What a tough guy :) Thank goodness he still loves me.

Rosh Hashanah Pics!

Even more exciting news!! Along with Linzaloo and Jonny getting engaged, we also sold our house! We have about thirty more days to find a new one we love... we think we may be getting close. Here are some pictures from Rosh Hashanah at our house - the best ones are the little ones with their great-grandparents (although it is definitely hard to get 4 good smiles at once).

Congrats Linzaloo!

Big news on this very happy Rosh Hashanah! Lindsay and Jonny are engaged!! We hosted dinner at our house for the first time and the little love birds could not make it because they had already committed to going to Jonny's parents house. After dinner, Lindsay called and said they were coming over to see everyone still at our house.... she walked in and screamed "I'm engaged!!!" It was done in true Jonny style and he even practiced getting on one knee! The ring is GORGEOUS! We are so happy for them and can not wait for the wedding. Dinner here turned our great - The little ones played together and we got some cute pictures with Mama and Papa (pictures to follow). Children services will be fun to go to tomorrow as we also celebrate Jacob turning seven months! What a gerat start to the new year!

Family Dinner!

Justin came in town for the long weekend and we had so much fun. My parents took us all to Morton's Friday night... Jacob stayed at home with Mama and Papa :) I think Linzaloo would agree with me when I say how much we love family dinners... We played a great game of poker after dinner (Justin won) and we all ended up crashing at Mom and Dad's... just like the good ol' days.

Could we love this little one any more? Life can't get any better than this...

My Two Favorite Boys!

Six Months Already!

Just shy of 20 pounds (he is 19 pounds, 2 ounces) and coming in at 26 inches, Jacob is just a few motions shy of crawling! He is up on all fours and rocks back and forth, slides all the way back and is so close to moving forward... we know it won't be long! It has been crazy getting back into work, but we have the best people watching our little guy :) Cooking his food is so exciting! Jacob is currently eating squash, sweet potatoes, carrots, peas, pluots, pears, oatmeal, and his most favorite thing of all, PEACHES!! Once he tried these, he really wasn't interested in anything else. Now we have to be careful to feed him all of his other food before the peaches! Up next? We are going to try green beans, prunes, and apples!
