Six Months Already!
Just shy of 20 pounds (he is 19 pounds, 2 ounces) and coming in at 26 inches, Jacob is just a few motions shy of crawling! He is up on all fours and rocks back and forth, slides all the way back and is so close to moving forward... we know it won't be long! It has been crazy getting back into work, but we have the best people watching our little guy :) Cooking his food is so exciting! Jacob is currently eating squash, sweet potatoes, carrots, peas, pluots, pears, oatmeal, and his most favorite thing of all, PEACHES!! Once he tried these, he really wasn't interested in anything else. Now we have to be careful to feed him all of his other food before the peaches! Up next? We are going to try green beans, prunes, and apples!

Pass the Peas Please!!
Another big day in the life of Jacob Allan! After thoroughly enjoying carrots and sweet potatoes for a few weeks, I cooked up some peas for dinner tonight and he loved them! It is great to watch the majority of the food end up his belly rather than on his bib! This little guy is also starting to move around a bit (he has already mastered sitting!) Phil had him on his mat playing with toys, went to grab something from the other room, and when he came back, Jacob had somehow managed to move himself over on his belly to the tv!! Babyproofing the house may be right around the corner... hopefully a new house :) Jacob is turning six months in just three days.. more to come!!

Quite the Stud!
So Jacob is officially sitting up on his own! We surround him with toys and he just loves playing... He then rolls onto his belly and wiggles around like a little fish. I wonder when he will learn to crawl :) He also has not one, but TWO little teeth on the bottom. While this has kept us up for the past few nights, it certainly is looking cute. He is still eating carrots every night for dinner and we may move onto sweet potatoes in the next few weeks!
